Rear Taillight strip won't light (1990 fastback)

I didn't see a technical forum so I posted here. That third taillight (the thin one that runs along the top of the hatch) won't light when I push my brakes in. My other brake lights work fine and so do my turn signals and headlights, etc. I've replaced the bulbs and checked all the fuses in the car that seemed to relate to anything having to do with lighting, but no luck. Is there another fuse I'm missing? Perhaps one in the engine bay or anything else I missed? Thanks in advance.

there should be a fuse inside the hud or a relay in the fuse box

if the fuse and connectors are fine... (test with a ohmeter or a curcuit tester) then it's probably your ground. That's how i fixed mine. Just rewire a ground to the defogger or rear window wiper circuit and it'll work perfectly fine. Just go out and buy some wires, wire cutter, electrical tape and as for tools all you need is a screwdriver to attach the ground.
