so today my windshield wiper motor sumhow fried my wire harness and i might not have a 240 any more i need help big time guys car means alot to me dont wanna throw it away it friend basically the entire harness from the windshield wiper motor to the dash almost is burnt and need to know if anyone has any help or has an extra harness cuz now thew car runs but it shifts from 1st to 3rd then to second and back so anyone with anyhelp would be appreaciated dont want my s13 dead

Yeah, my face hurts now from you're inability to write properly. But, I'd say the first problem is that theres an automatic transmission in there. You're best bet to fix it is to put a 5 speed in. I don't think that your windshield wiper motor could adversely affect you're tranny, but I've been wrong before... run some codes.

 

bro if it comes down to it, you will have to do a body harness swap... it can be done in a day.

i have done it before to a civic and along with retrofitting some connections, I had it done in 4 hours.

you can get the body harness from a junkyard.

 

Would his wiper moror/wiring affect his tranny though? I think he should check the ECU.

 

ya it fried all the harness basically. and sorry about the writing was kinda like BLAH, at the moment of typing and ya i had 3 people look at it aside from me.and they said it could be fine, but at the same time it could be rly bad it probably did mess with the ecu and i hope it didnt to much, and yes ryguy i am swaping the tranny after i get the money haha. im hoping to get a loan withen the next month or so. gotta work up that credit score but ill keep you guys updated on whats going on. thanks for the help though really appreaciate it. <------- bad spelling and lots of errors forgive me haha.

 

oh ya also the people who looked at it are mechanically inclined but we need pro's to figure it out. im also hopefully getting it looked at tommorow or on monday. the wires looked completely burnt beyond belief, but thats the windshield wiper wires, and the rest of the harness is pretty clean but alittle burnt some part's are and some aren't but like i said were getting it checked out will update.

 

Just run the self-diagnostic on the ECU. It can tell you if theres something wrong with it.

 

I might have a body harness for sale. I wont be needing it off my fastback.

word ryguy , and to keep updated on my situation it looks as though i might be fine for now, i think im getting a loan out for a few thousand and im goin to fix the wire harness plus get a few goodies. exausht new cams heads suspension etc etc. jeez i cant spell haha

 

to update you all my harness has been fixed, but now we think the short might have fried my ecu so were getting it checked hopefully tommorow, and we did the od test for the tranny cuz for some reason its stuck in 2nd and 3rd, mostly 3rd though. so hopefully ill have the car running completly fixed by next week.

 

finally after about 2 weeks of pain in the *** laziness im getting my car fixed tommorow hopefully. ill update as soon as i get info. im also looking into new heads and cams looking to rebuild and boost within the next 6 months. any ideas? i got a cat back in mind and suspension as well, i think an early school present to my self will be a 5spd swap but idk
