Im going to be getting a s14 this summer and already know that im going to be doing a little modding to the engine but don't wanna do the sr20 swap.

So I wanted to ask some questions before I proceed to buy a s14. First I wanted to know how well the aftermarket industry is for the KA engine and would like to get my s14 around 200 hp and are there any turbos or superchargers for the KA engine that I might wanna do later on ?

Also, Wanted to know how often will I need to do a tune up for the engine and if they have some sort of tune up kit for the s14's that you do like every 10k miles or something.

if your only looking for 200 hp, thats a pretty reasonable number and the market is ok but not as good as the SR but for 200 you could definately get 200.

If your looking to turbo your car, then 200 is definately possible and I think if your set on that number I would keep it N/A and do pistons and things like that.

Greddy makes a turbo kit for the KA... heard good things about it.

 

I think ill be doing that. Since that gets you up to 204 hp, How hard would it be to get around 250 hp without forced induction ?

 

Save money and get SR you will be happy!!

 

200hp on a na ka waste of money.
