you need to go to the gym then.
i dont know about that.. 3 people tried to take it off and it didnt want to come off at all.

its probably because the car has 225000 miles.. and the stick is just stuck there.. so cutting it was my only option.

but nice sarcasm though.. i gotta tell you that...

seriously though, a good set of vise grips and a towel would have gotten that thing twisted off... I've never come across a shift **** stuck like that before.

okay make a thread for this it's getting off topic.

As for on-topic, Driften was there any bluish or whiteish substance on the threads of the shift lever after you cut the stock **** off? I was thinking the other day, maybe the original owner had noise/vibration issues (which, by the way, is rare with the OEM shift ****), which would support s13 240's comment about threadlock.

I just got a new shift **** and ran into the same problem i cant get it off. I've been twisting it and was about to bust out the plyers but im nervouse im gonna mess up the shaft. Is it alright to go for it anyway?

mine was such a *****, i had to get out my hack saw and a lot of WD40.

i swear they use ***in loctite on those things.
