Should I buy this 240sx? Frame rusted big time!!!

I'm looking at buying this 240sx hatchback. The car is exactly what I'm looking for hatchback, 5sp and cruise. I would like to purchase a sr20det to put in it.

Heres the one MAJOR flaw. The frame is rusted in a very bad spot. Is there anyone who can tell me if this is fatal rust or not? The tire you are looking at is the front passangers side. It looks to be rusted completly through the frame rail. The other side is pretty much the same story. Is this common or not?

That's some heavy duty rusting there. How much are they asking for it.

I'm sure there are plenty more elsewhere with very little or no rust at all. You shouldn't rush it, be patient and you'll probably find a better one.

I offered $200. Atleast I could get some parts off of it. I havn't heard back so I'm thinking he's going to hold out for some more cash.

Why does it have to be rusted on the frame rails!!!
Of all places. I mean its pretty much rusted right around where the cross member mounts.

Definitely not worth it. Locally, there's some guy trying to pawn off a fb with severe frame rust for over $2000Cdn ($1600USD). On top of that, the car has a rebuild title.

It's too bad people are trying to cash in on S13's nowadays. I'm still searching and am willing to pay up to $4000Cdn ($3400USD).

I think the title of this thread just gave answered everything (common sense-wise) but $200 for parts might be a good idea
