Should I totalled my car?
Should I totalled my car?
well I have a 1990 240sx fastback with 149000 miles on it
couple weeks ago I got hit at the rear right quarter panel but the car still runs fine and I just did an estamate today. the guys told me that if I want to replace my quarter panel, my car is totalled and they would give me a check of the value of my car, roughly 2200 he said. But does anybody know what would happen if I totalled my car?

The insurance company is basically buying the car off of you. Of course they do this at the least cost possible so they don't lose too much money. They come and take you car, give you the money, and you buy a new car somewhere. How bad is the damage? If it's not that bad just fix it up man. If it still drives just save your cash up and fix it.
Well with a 15 year old car, any significant body damage would most likely total the car. I would just keep the car and save money to fix it up myself.
Besides, I've searched for a 240 for 4 years and every one i've seen is either too damn expensive or complete junk. So just keep what you have and fix it.
