What is a hot pipe? How does the BOV system work on S14s? I know how BOVs work but not on a S14 sr20. That's probly the only stuff I'm clueless on. Thanks

 

Hot pipe is the intercooler pipe off the turbo goin to the intercooler, air goes through intercooler hot and comes out cooler. All BOV's work the same............ when the throttle body plate is closed and the turbo is turbine is still spinnin and forcin air, the air has noowhere to go. The BOV is set to release that pressure so ur turbine doesnt come to a halt. Its not good for your turbine to just stop so quick, or instantly, turbo wont last.
