so i've removed my powersteering.

and its hard still. ive read that it frees up after 10 or so miles per hour. but mine stays hard. its hard even when the front tires are off the ground. what i did was take everything off that was powersteering related. like the pump, reservior, and lines. so right now all i have is the steering rack. and the two lines on the back. i felt that it was un nessasary to remove them because they just connect to another piece of the steering rack. but i did remove the lines that go to the rack from the pump. i took the bolt out of the steering rack, on the bottom driver side, and all the powersteering fluid came out. so i plug everything back up and its hard. its not that hard. but it pretty hard. i mean, ive driven cars that dont have powersteering and its pretty light once moving. but mine its hard all the time. like theres something holding it back. and the steering doesnt return to straight like normal. no matter wat speed. so i ask you guys wat could be wrong. thanks in advance.

how are you tensioning your water pump belt then? im assuming this is KA, right?

and you really should at least loop the two lines that were removed from the rack. throw a little fluid in there and make a line that loops the two empty holes together. that will make a big diff

yeaup thats what i did.. have been using the P/S pump for about 5 years now works like a charm.. if you wanna be cleaner you could use the A/C bracket, but i removed all that jazz which made mounting my return bung even better
