Say I get between an 89-93 240sx will it have the speed-limiter and rev-limiter....and how can i test if it does or not....i seen the sticky on the forum but didnt get how to do it...

 

Go down the road full out. if your car max's out before redline in 5th gear then you know you have a speed limiter

 

He He...A little dangerous My auto doesnt 120 and it was still pulling...

 

Well after I swaped the sr in we went for a rip and maxed out the speedo, 180kms and it still pulled for a while yet. no idea how fast but it was rippin! So I geuss I have no limiter

 

auto ecu's I guess don't have a limiter... if you want to check if your manual does do this... put your clutch in, put the shifter in 5th with the clutch still in press the gas down until it reaches around 5k... it should start bouncing off the limiter, if it goes up to say 6k it doesn't have one... you dont' have to be moving.
