what are the cons for doing the sr swap on an s13 convertible?

 

The cons would be the auto to manual swap and the fact that it's a convertable.

 

and the cahssis would need some serious upgrading since it will flex more then a regular S13

 

hmm thanks for the info guys. does the chasis really flex that much? how is it on the hatch? the reason i'm asking is cause i'm debating buying the a 240, sorry if its a newbie question.

 

all convertables dont have the chassis rigidity that cars with roofs have. there is the big hole on top that offers no structure of "backbone" for the car. so the car has it's disadvantages. but it's still a hot ride. only if they came in manual then it would be a valid option for me.
the hatch is alot better then the drop, but not as stiff as the coupe.
i personally like the hatch better and just buy the necessay goodies to solve that problem
