stupid wiring issues, advice needed

i relocated the fuse box under the dash on my 97 s14. the battery is in the trunk and the wire running to it is a 2 gauge and has an inline 80 amp fuse a few inches from the positive battery terminal. everything worked great and now i am cranking the engine without spark to prime the turbo.

after cranking for about 10-15 seconds, the inline fuse on the battery cable blows. im not sure why this is happening?

also, the gauge cluster lights no longer light up and the radio just stopped working. everything else(blinkers, headlights, blower motor, power windows, etc) work just like before, and i have checked every single fuse and none of them are blown.

im not sure what's going on here, any help is appreciated
thanks

I would have to be there to test it myself. do you have a multi meter? if so, start going through the wiring and making sure everything is hooked up correctly. sounds like you might have hooked something up reverse or not at all.

alrighty so the inline fuse problem is fixed and there are no other issues with the car, other then the running lights and radio not working. headlights and brake lights work, and when i turn the headlight switch to the running light position, i get power on my test light. although i did relocate all of my wiring, i ripped the dash out today and havent found any problems.

i read somewhere that the radio and running lights are linked somehow? also is it true that if a running light bulb goes out, the rest of the system may not work? the gauge cluster only lights up the little clock, and when i flick the running lights to on, it dims slightly. this has me stumped but also leads me to believe that there is not a damaged wire anywhere since power is going through the system.
since fuses arent blowing, i know there isnt a damaged positive wire that is grounding out. my guess is a ground wire came loose (havent been able to find any) ? Is it possible that the all of the running lights work together as a system? please help me out if anyone has any ideas

the running lights and cluster/center console run off the same fuse.

yeah, check in the back for the problem. Over the summer when it rained really hard, my fuse blew for the dash lights and running lights. Turns out, my rear lights had a bad seal and water was getting into them.
