Stupidest thing EVER

So my car wouldnt start...
i'm freaking out, because i'm thinking its my starter motor and i JUST replaced it. I work at Jiffy Lube so, we werent doing anything and tryed to look at it. Tested it and the battery was bad.

I get a new battery. Nothing happened. I'm still stuck. Finally someone minchens to me this little button that the clutch hits, and that maybe it went bad.
Look at it. Pushed it in, turned the key and it turned on!!

so i'm like...?? why wouldnt it start before. lets look on the clutch.

The little tinny tinny peice of plastic on the back of my clutch that hits that button broke.

I couldnt start my car for 2 days because of that peice of plastic. And it spent 60$ on a battery. (i needed a new one anyways) but still..

Stupidest 240 moment yet.

The same thing happened to me as well. I just extended the wires and put a switch at the end and hid it. Now I use it as another kill switch.

Just remember that if your brake lights don't turn off don't forget to check up by the brake switches on the brake pedal. They have the same hard plastic pieces that work the same and they break too. Took me a few days to figure that one out.
