TCSportline ground kit is GARBAGE!
I have been having problems with TCSportline ground kit since I have owned it. I end up stuck somewhere cause the damn thing won't make the proper connection. I even had to sand down the coat of paint which is gold and I guess it was sappose to look like real gold but its crappy *** paint that doesn't even conduct electricity. Even with it sanded down it only lasted about a couple of startups before it stops working. Don't buy this garbage.
here is the link if you don't know what I am talking about.

I just took it off and inspected it, it was corroded and it has only been on there for 2 days. The plate is made out of aluminum, is that the standard material for ground wire kits??? I think that might be the problem (cheap aluminum).
just get ride of the plate thing and hook the wires up to the - terminal. i have some ebay ground wires and they work so well that - terminal doesn't have to be on the battery for the car to start.
now that's some good grounding.

The problem with that TC sportline it that it doesn't have a direct chassis ground.
From the battery to the engine there needs to be a splice in between to the actual chassis. If not it can cause the battery to surge and can actually cause to blow fuses, and relays.

No you need to have an inline grounding source.
Which means a wire that runs from the negative terminal of the battery to the engine. In between the engine and battery wire there is a splice in the line and grounded to the chassis as well, this prevents any type of grounding disruption, this is a splice usually 12" from the battery, and 12" from the engine.
The engine itself conducts a massive current as spark plugs alone ground out to make a spark. Then there is kinetic energy and other types of current that takes place. You need a splice between the engine and battery to chassis, the battery terminal alone doesn't cut it.
Not to mention that gauge wire looks much o thin in the ebay pics, I wouldn't buy it just looking at the pic.
