temperature sensor location

Question temperature sensor location

HI

I need to wire a water temp gauge and i need to know where is the temp sensor on the ka24de !

plz need advice too on how to wire this too

The OEM temperature sensor is near the upper radiator hose fitting, on the intake manifold/block area. If you're standing facing the engine in front of the car with your hood up, find the upper radiator hose and follow it along all the way until it stops at the engine. keep going along the same route and you'll see 2 sensor screwed into the metal part where the radiator hose attaches. One sensor is larger than the other; the smaller sensor neares the engine has one wire coming out of it - the small sensor is the OEM temp sensor.

However you're better off running a seperate temp sender, using an adaaptor tube spliced directly into one of the radiator hoses. This is a common method; hopefully someone can offer another alternative if it's been done another way.

what he said...tapping into the radiator hose is by far the most common.
