timing chain

my timing chain is rattling pretty bad. i know i need to replace it, but are there any cheaper kits then the courtesyparts.com kit that still incorporates the 'new & improved design'?

they are all the same main pieces.......
courtesy just offers the extras like water pump and what-not.
go with the kit i showed you. i can almost gurentee)sp) that it'll be as cheap as you'll get.

same componets also. do the math and tell me a better story.
why would i recomend parts i wouldnt install on my own car?

just check for play in the water-pump and the condition of the gear shaft in the water pump. those don't USUALLY fail on Nissans.
get what you need to repair the problem at hand. that is unless you plan on really puttin work in on the KA.
you'll be alright with this kit.
the Sohc is the same exact kit i bought. quality parts and fitment.
you won't even need the upper timing guide and i don't think it's even included with that kit.
nice kit.

alright, sounds good. thanks for the help. i'm lookin to get about 250 hp out of the KA via turbo (prolly the s15 bb t28). will the 100,000 mile water pump die on me? i dont want to have to go in there again if i don't have to.

also, can anyone recommend me a good head gasket. i'm lookin to run about 6-7 psi. thanks.

Looks good to me. I remember your first post on the subject. I don't think I am going to get rid of the KA for a while. I have some lo-buck mods I want to do to it first. Plus mine runs pretty good (knock on wood).

Anyone have any 89 pistons for me?

The pistons ended up being a little damaged and I had decided to go with the SR so I didn't take them. But I want some instant goodies now.

I don't know what I want.

I do know that I need to sell my honda stuff.
