that first picture doesn't show me enough to really know what i'm looking at. but i am possitive that it's neither of the two temp sensors you are asking about.

I figure it out.... its the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor.

I know what it is... it reads the temperature of the engine of course.

But what happens if its dysfunctional? What does it do to the engine?

Ok so i went to the auto parts store and got a Coolant Temperature Sensor to replace it and its a totally different plug.

Is it not the engine coolant sensor???

I looked it up on the service manual also and it did say it was the engine coolant sensor as well.

Not sure why its not working.

Help??

ok so i figured it out. It seems like my car really is OBDII. The nissan parts guy said that my car was made in production for the 1996 but was labeled as a '95 so he gave me the correct sensor for a '96 instead. WTF?? Why can't they just call it a '96? LOL

So most of the things i have to get are '96 parts for a '95 vehicle.

So mine must be a '95.5?? LOL

yea if its later in the production time.. its rounded up the the next year and will get the latest technology the newer model will have. I dont know if manufactures still do this.

for example my skyline is a later year 94 and features the newer electronic hicas system Vs. the older Hydrulic system.
