Besides the people who live in the New Jersey area, who knows what a jug handle turn is? I heard that you don't find these anywhere else in the country, and I havent seen them anywhere else in the country.

A jug handle turn is one commonly found on New Jersey highways, where you have to turn right in order to turn left or make a U-turn. Refer to diagram below: Say you're going up the highway (in the right lane of course) and you want to turn left into a shopping center at the intersection (marked with the + sign). Well, it is against the law to make a left at the intersection because they give you a jug handle (the curved line in the diagram, dont mind the x's, they represent not drivable area, usally and island) to take. So you make a right before the actual intersection and you follow the jug handle to the stop light at the intersection and wait for it to turn green, in which case you proceed straight to your destination. Doesnt that sound fun?

we have a few of those here....i REALLY hate them cause there are only 2 or 3 of them and they are no where else in the area....and if u dont know where they are you get all screwed up and have to go WAY out of your way to get to your original destination

That's basically the same as on an interstate--Say your going N and want to go S on another interstate at an exchange. You turn right --big sweeping curve around then you continue straight. There are plenty on Interstates here--when there are 4 of them together(usually the case) it is referred to as a Cloverleaf intersection.
