Aside from alignment, you may have something bent. Not saying you do, but the alignment shop will be able to find that out for you for sure.

And just for the heck of it, change out those mounts along with the tranny mount. They're about 15 years old already... stock is perfect enough, unless someone has hook up on Nismo mounts.

As for the exhaust, I picked up a P.I.T. exhaust from ebay for 200, comes with silencer and has a decent size resonator on there too. I tested myself with silencer on with the SAE J11116 test and came out to about 85 db at 2/3 of the power band (approx. 4600 RPM), full throttle was about 93 or 94 db... I cant recall the actual numbers right now, did this test about 5 months ago, but I can honestly say, worth the 200 bucks. Oh yeah, and it's 200 shipped to my door. Just need hanger mounts and you're good to go! If you want the guy's ebay link or whatever, PM me.

EDIT: You might want to take a look at the cat while you have the exhaust off. Adding a high flow cat at this point would be easier with the pipes off.

If you do it the right way it takes longer than 35 seconds. Lit sleepy eyes ftw.

NO. STEP AWAY FROM THE AUTOZONE!!!

When it comes to buying any aftermarket performance parts, stay far far away from any national parts chain.
Just go to ebay and get a FULL mandrel bent exhaust shipped to your door for $200.

autozone for oem replacement parts is ok. some will argue that napa is better and i'll agree that a while back napa did carry higher quality parts.

the $200 ebay cat backs are hit or miss from what i've heard.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I go to autozone almost exclusively for replacement parts. All I'm saying is that when you go looking fot performance parts, AutoZone or any other chain should not be the place you go shopping.

i know what you meant ry.

but yeah not only is that a3 fart can junk and over priced but you'll spend more than it's worth to have it mounted.

just get the ebay cat back, $200 for a direct fit system is a good deal.

Like I mentioned, I got my PIT exhaust for 200, retail is 450 not including shipping. The system has worked great for me, my GP Sport exhaust however... including the Fujitsubo resonator... is stupid loud.
