Tein S.Tech lowering spring installation on my s13
does anybody know a link for instructions on installing Tein S.tech lowering springs on my 91 240sx hatchback?? ive been looking all over google and cant find it....
also is it really necessary to replace the piston rod top lock nut (self locking nut) for both front and rear struts? i had to stop half way because i didnt have new nuts.

As long as the nuts are not rounded off, you are fine. If they are, replace them. Struts and shocks are so easy.. I'm not too sure how in depth I can get, as it is pretty self explanatory.
STRUTS
remove top 3 nuts, set them aside
remove the 2 nuts/bolts holding the strut to the control arm
remove strut
you need a spring compressor.. its 2 pieces that you attach to each opposing sides of the spring to compress the spring. if you dont, the top plate and nut holding the strut/shock will flow off and probably kill you or a small fuzzy animal.
**compress spring. remove nut holding top plate. uncompress. put new springs on. compress. put top plate and nut back on. reverse the previous steps.
rear.. only 2 nuts holding top plate on, and only one nut/bolt holding buttom of shock on. follow ** above.
