Where, exactly, do you live. If you live close enough and I'm not too busy, maybe I can give you a lift out there. I do what I can.

Take care

yea in you opinions between getting a old 240 or a civic hatch what would you say? prolly 240 right?
well with the 240 the motor mounts work from ka to SR but same with D series to B series on EG hatches.
And i can get a EG hatch for real cheap same w/ motor.
240s are harder to find and engines are harder to get a hold of and more money.

With the civic Id keep it NA but the 240 id drop all my money workin the turbo. i dunno.

USMCdrifter - im in Dumfries, lol its rite off 95

gc8drifter86 - dude 240...it is soo hard to find but its worth the look, loook at junkyards that was my next plan then i founnd this one.

EG vs. 240.....wow theres a choice?? my friend has a 93..obviously eg, but its not worth it, its cool and all but...its a civic, they are everywhere, but thats why they are soo easy to find and hook up.

also im 16 and 1 month, haha, im countin.

also on the b16 note....some where i heard that if u use a b18 block and b16 head thats a type r motor....but i dont know where they get the 13:1 compression without mods... idk what im talkin about, lol

If u find a 240sx and i get mine( i should...cause i just am good like that..hahah) we should roll with USMC orr begin a big 240 crew..or somethin

Jeez, hmmm, I wish I knew about the driveability before volunteering for this mission. Ummmm, If you could pick up some struts before getting there, they're easy to find if you can find a junker 240 around. But, I don't know about getting a truck.

Let me know, if all it needs are struts then yeah, you can get some struts probably for under 100 bucks.

yea lol for now ill roll around in my GM6 its fast enough and nice enough for now. I am starting lean more towards the EG hatch, its mostly for a learning experience. And its a lot cheaper in the long run. and easier to sell

well...ur loss, lol jk.

usmcdrifter - yea...my sis and her husband are navy, they are in yokosuka..

well i can get shocks, but i need u to confirm a date that works for u, ur volunteering, i can atleast let u do it at a time convenient for u.

i had a brainstorm btw, what about this idea, idk if u have a garage or what but i was thinkin how about renting a garage to work on cars? like a 2 car thing or somethin, and use that to do work on cars instead of doin it somewhere else, we could also possibly set it up as a business and get business discounts from like companies, get parts for a cheaper price ya kno?

eh i was just thinkin, but yea

lmmk

lol yea me and my friends were gonna do that but its too hard to get interest for a garage where basically a couple of teenagers work at it. and most warehouse's wont give u discounts unless u order mass amounts of parts. so yea............ and its not cheap to rent a garage

NA civics...fastest street car that was all motor did a 12.1.. yea thats quick...but thats completely built b18....doubt u will have that in 2 years either, cause its not cheap, not cheap at all.

but yea, when i get my 240 and get it ready to race...

ill meet u somewhere...possibly...idk haha

also what motor u want to use? im guessin b18 since u want NA, but u could use b20vtec

lol hahaha. id be either using a JG crate motor (b20, fully built top and down with b18c5 head, revs to 12k easily not that ur makin anythin past 9500rpm)that my friend has, or just a JDM B16a2 hahaha. but with a completely stripped EG and a B16 i can do 14.3 and lower. so with a few mods i could easily dip into the 13s. and id have internals by then lol.
