Acceleration is cutting out sometimes, why would this be???

ok so recently my car broke down, smoke all over, lower radiator hose bursted. got them both replaced, radiator is still overheating. eventually after letting the air out a few times and filling it with antifreeze and some water, its finally normal. i noticed when there was some air in there still my car wasn't accelerating probably. Also I went back to OE NGK V-Power Spark plugs instead of the G-power platinums cause they kept cutting out. well now my acceleration sometimes cuts out not all the time, almost hits gaps of this if that makes sense.

any ideas of what this could be? fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator? all the injectors are brand new and i believe the check engine light isn't on, but i'll double check.

obdI ecus don't always trigger the cel even if there is a fault code. check for codes and work from there.

so are you saying and OBD1 scanner might pick up the code even if the check engine light isn't on or no?

yes, although there really isn't an obdI scanner per se, just enter diagnostic mode and count the flashes.

no what i meant was that i don't think those nissan/honda/toyota obdI scanners work on nissans at all. i think they only work on toyotas becuase iirc, out of the three toyota is the only one that uses a port for those scanners. nissans use the led(s) on the ecu or a consult cable depending on the year. i believe on hondas it's just a matter of using a jumper wire but i'm not sure so someone with actual knowledge about hondas will have to correct me.
