Unhappy Air intake problems

Well me and my friend installed a custom cold air intake that runs by by the battry and down to the front wheel well by the tire, well the car runs fine accelerating and idling at a standstill sometimes, but coasting in nuetral, and slowing down to turn and such the car drops to like 500 or less RPMs, and the car died one time but only that once, we did this on monday and i been driving it as is since. We ran a small ram intake type thing inside it for the tube that goes to the ECCS. I am not sure if my MAF sensor is just ****ed up, but the wiring looked fine when i checked it, was also wondering how to raise the idle on the car

thanks

did he also relocate the MAFS? Or just stuck a tube to the TB and put a filter on the tube as is?

Your problem could be your IACV. Dumping some carb cleaner down the IACV should correct your problem. IACV stands for Idle Air Control Valve, I am assuming that your RPM's can jump, and fluctuate funny sometimes, so I thought I would kick down the info....

The location of the MAFS isn't what I was referring to, but the connections for the MAFS harness.
