any precautions i should take before i remove my block for rebuild?
yea imna go and "try" to make an all out perf. NA block from all the threads i've been reading on this forum... and yes i have searched for countless hours at work here sitting in front of my desk.
oops made a noob mistake EDIT: my car is a 95 zenki... se
now... i just wanted to know ALL of the precautions i should take ... im good with the electrical mostly on the inside ( which there isn't too many ) but a dumb !@#! under the hood... i mean i know what things are and stuff but not all... meaning im still a noob mechanically ... and electrically under there...
i mean i don't even know half of what you guys are talking about here saying "you should get a FMIC" or " get a perf/programmable ECU" and stuff... those big letters... just spell it out... or like make a BIG LETTERS FOR IDIOTS post of something haha.... ( yea ... i know what those 2 means... so please do not spell it out... thank you )
my car was in an accident... on the rear quarter panel... seems like i need to take the drive train out... and prolly get new internals on my right side... so my car is useless so because i have the time... im building my block. why not use the money for the car repair? ... well im getting it done for free hehehe... and 2nd i already ordered these parts like 3 months ago before the accident .
i got everything.. just now i need to take it out... but i like to be careful so i am asking.... what precautions should i take before killing myself for making a mistake? ... and please help me in detail if you can .... pleasE~~~
thank you very much all of ya ~~

1)Make sure you have a few "nuts and bolts containers" which you can label to ensure that you don't lose any parts.
2)If your realllllly unsure of yourself take pictures of everything before and after you disconnect it, and keep the photos together in the order that you took things off.
3)Record the tools used to remove certain items or any other special notes like "Had to use WD-40" or "OH ****E THAT BOLT NEEDS TO BE RETAPPED!!"
4)Don't take any shortcuts!! Just because the engine seems like it's almost out and just stubborn, it may just be one more bolt that your now putting a hell of a lot of strain on.
5)If you can work with a friend. One with experience would be usefull, but sometimes all you need is another pair of eyes and hands to make a job go by easier.
This probably isn't what you were looking for like, "95 zenki's tend to have a wire that is hidden that must be removed for the safety of your cars life!!" or something like that. But I think these steps are at least a foot in the right direction for an much better reinstallation.

you could take a digital camera and take pics of vaccum hoses and stuff if you think you might forget during the time it is out for a rebuild..... dont drain your antifreeze in the sewer drain, and dont jack yoru car up by the body...LOL. Other than that make sure you hook your ground wires back correctly, torque all bolts on the engine, and bleed your cooling system when you are done. and enjoy it and take the time to learn about the parts while you haev them in your hand.
figure out how **** works before you go taking the engine out. Removing the block/ trans wont be hard, but taking apart and rebuilding the engine itself will be. plug all the holes (coolant headers etc) so **** doesnt get inside... wiring will just be pull out/ put in
Take your time, get an FSM and read it alot- learn it, live it, love it, it will be your best friend. Label your harness if you have to(put some tape on the connector from the harness and put a "1" and then where that connects put some tape there and put a "1"..etc), when its time to plug everything back up it will be as simple as matching the numbers. Have extra money on hand in case something would go wrong
