beatiful smell of burning oil

well motors burning oil..is it me or do all of these cars burn oil...everytime i see one there is a trail of blueish smoke behind it.
at least mine isnt that bad, friends have had them burning almost a quart a day still running with good power. but for me it is luck and a sign, my friend crashed his s13 with red top and is selling me whole car with redtop longblock on the side all for 1200.. yeah thats rite 1200 for 2 sr20's and a parts car. is this a gift from god, or am i just lucky?
