Car stutters with no exhaust?

My exhaust on the car I have was rusted and I took it off from the cat back until I can afford a new one. Problem is when I step on the gas there is a hesitation then, everything seems to run fine? Any idea what's going on?

uh, this is a shot in the dark, but you might be losing exhaust too fast... if you read up on the stuff about backpressure and flow rate, you'll see that you need that for your engine to work. you're just dumping it after the headers and a few feet of pipe... this MAY be the problem

what u can temp do is cut ur current ecxhaust to where ur second resonator is, before the muffler, and put that pipe back on... warning... its going to be loud as $h!t
