Question cold air intake throwing codes...help

So I finally got a 96 240sx SE. gold, beautiful car, and I was like, hey, let's make it better. So I started with something easy, an Injen cold air intake (removed the resonator box b/c I have the extension pipe). So the car runs beautifully, and the intake sounds nice. Problem is, it's throwing codes...so I ran a diagnosis on it and the codes where the MAF and the "knock sensor"...thing is the car runs well, so the MAF isnt screwed, im just assuming it hasnt completely adjusted. I just want to make sure that this is a thing I can wait out, b/c I did unplug the battery and left it for about 10 minutes on several occassions, but it is not causing the check engine light to turn off. And I also had two local shops check out my installation of the CAI and they said it was good, so any ideas would be appreciated.

reset the ecu, which should eliminate the check engine, and wait it out to see if you get the same codes.

it might come on again soon. Try rotating the MAF 90° towards the firewall if it does... if it does again, rotate it some more, etc. with the extra leg of piping and the way its bent the air is probably slipstreaming thru the maf past the actual sensor in it. i had this problem on my cougar and it drove me ****ing crazy till someone suggested that i rotate the maf, and when i did, all my problem had no chance to survive.

It will come on after about 80 miles or so of normal driving... and that's just the MIL light. That's the "quick used car fix" that doesn't erase the code - it just turns the MIL light off for a little bit.

Do you know what the actual code #'s are that you're getting?

well like i said in the first post, the codes that were thrown were the MAF and Knock sensor, sorry i dont have numbers, but ive driven almost 200 miles since the engine light has been off and nothing back on yet, so hopefully, nothing is faulty, i mean it drives great, but we will see.
