Did a 91 240sx custom intake and like the results(view)

I was curious at to what kind of power gains I would get by relocating the battery to the drivers side and make a custom intake running to the passenger side. The job took me like 8 hours or so but payed off BIGTIME.A good part of the 8 hours involved a little chin scratching but it all worked out.
Everything involved in making a custom intake cos me less than 30 bucks and can be bought Walmart and home depot, some parts coming form the stock intake.
Im not gonna explain all the parts need to do this conversion but I can tell you that at of all the **** I put in my car it is the biggest HORSEPOWER upgrade.I put on headers, custom exhaust, and a asp pulley. The power is felt through out the power band and gives the ka engine its true power.
If anybody wants to PM me id love to answer questions you may have to ask.....

You know, intakes add more power when you have other stuff on the engine already...

Yeah I know that. Before I put on the shortened intake I had the cold air intake, the headers, underdrive pulley,2 1/2" exhaust, but wanted to experiment. The finished froduct was much cleaner and I gained a great amount of throttle response throughout the powerband, I also have a higher rev than before. After I relocated the battery and did the intake I cleaned up all the wiring and wraped the wiring in tubing and zip tied em.
I think it is worth the time if your willing to do it....

I wqas about to comment on something til I remembered that you're in an s13, and on my s14 the battery is already on the left side, leaving the right side open enough to get the pipe down there (like what you did) without as much work
