gears sticking

I am having a really weird problem with my gears sticking. It usually starts to happen when I have been driving for extended period of times or if I have been driving it hard. I just had a centerforce dual friction clutch put it right before this started happening. Sometimes it wont go into gear at all and when I try to put it in reverse it will grind and the friction point on the clutch will be right at the floor and not in its normal place. This happens quit frequently but always just starts working again after it sits for awhile. Someone mentioned to me it could be the synchronizer. Any ideas?

Thanks

Synchro gears is a possibilty, have you bleed the lines lately?

sounds like a clutch problem to me! if the pedal engagement is going to the floor sometimes, could be the hydraulic system, try bleeding the clutch slave cylinder! or a tolerance of some sort could be off on the clutch!

The problem with my gear sticking is getting worse. It does it when it gets really hot. When I start it in netural and cant get it into gear I turn it off and put it in 1st and start and it makes a loud knocking noise. Makes the whole car shake. It sounds like my transmission is getting ready to fall out. One time when I started in 1st when the gears started sticking, it was puttering between 0-100 rpms. It was barely on but was still tring to run but eventually cut off. I noticed today when it started happening again my clutch stays almost completely pressed to the floor. As I was driving it was hard to shift as soon I lifted the clutch up to put it in its normal position while the car was running it immediatly started working perfectly again. ????????????????????????

like i said, bleed your clutch! it sounds like something is really screwed up in your clutch hydraulic system. and dont drive the car like that, you will hurt your transmission and clutch and wear them out very fast if you havent already ...........or take it to a professional shop! believe me, a few $$ for diagnosis would be preferable to hundreds or thousands of $$ for a new transmission and clutch!
