Head & Valve Gasket Replacement
#16
i don't disagree except for the large - and I mean large- cloud of white smoke it emits while running - along with the tremndous gas smell etc.
the cylinder is of course dead
Can injectors be repaired? IS it even worth it?
I have taken quite a bit of the car apart - but I need to get some junk removed from it anyway - I'm going to take off the A/C and some other stuff as it's not really a street car anymore.
THanks for your help btw...
I wouldn't have even suspected the injector and would have dome the head gasket and still likely been bad off.

#2 is not firing because while running you can pull the plug and not change the engine note

do a compression check. I think its just fludding #2 and not letting it fire. but i could be wrong. so do a compression check.
also it is easy to change injectors, but brfore you take the injector out test its wireing for pulse with a noid light it could just be o-rings are bad

Thats exactly what I was thinking - but it might be too late.
I have it drained w/ the valve cover off and most of the front stuff removed like the harness, smog ****, radiater etc.
But i can spin the engine with a ratchet and some of the cylinders clearly still hold compression - I'm gonna try and see if the #2 cylinder feels the same as the other three.
I don't know which way to spin it though. If I'm looking at the front of the engine does it spin counterclockwise?
