my s14

yesterday my pass window was working fine in my s14 going up and down no prob the motor did not sound funny it was not slow moving nothing, now today i get nothing, my driver window is fine but i get no responce at all from the pass side, its not a fuse im told cuase they run on the same fuse, i dont know what it is, any advice has anyone else had this prob. so i go to my local junk yard and start ripping apart the only s14 they have and hope that something works, i dont want to pay some guy 50 bucks for him to say, "yup your forked" help please josh(my s14)

check the regulator, mine wouldnt go up a couple weeks ago and that was the problem.

did you test the reg or just replace it, anything you can tell me would be great

i had it taken the the shop so i guess they tested the regulator. i wanted to do it myself but i didnt have any time to do it that week and it had to be done because of the rain. ive heard its not that hard to replace the regulator. the shop charged me like 200 to do it and like 40 to check it out. you could just take it to the shop and have them check it out and when they find out whats wrong with it if you think you can do it yourself get the part and put it in. i wish i did that lol.

yeah i bet 240 later to do it, idk i pulled my door panal off and looked at it it all looks very hairy in there, i think im goin to try a switch from a junk yard first and then the reg. if i have to thanks for all the help

I know this might sound stupid, but check to make sure your window lock isn't on. Always check the simple/stupid stuff first. I bet that's what it is. I'm ashamed to admit, but it happened to me. This is my first import auto and I never had a car that when you lock the windows, that it also locks the controls on the driver door. Oh well, good luck.
