Thanks for the heads up. I appreciate it.

Okay, just so I'm straight. I would need everything on the posted list as well as a stand alone ECU or piggy back system in order to handle the amount of air/fuel being dumped into the motor, correct?

All together it would be about a $500-600 upgrade, right?

hmmm.... from the reasearch ive done with itbs ive read that you need to have a stand alone, a piggy back wont get rid of a maf. but then again mabey im wrong, lol i hope i am. i dont want to run a stand alone.

You are correct sir....
An SAFC will do just fine, and there will also need to be an idle adjustment since the IACV is taken off from the other half of the mani. You can also implement the original nissan TPS onto the ITB. Who ever said you need standalones for this setup is crazy. Besides your ignition MAPS are set, all you need are adjustments in your fuel. FYI ITB's don't run to well without a plenum design for them, they run like crap with out it in hot or cold weather, you will need a plenum for the stock ecu anyway since using the stock MAF......

cool...

i seen an AE86 with ITBs with the injectors out side of the motor similar to indy cars.. that was NUTS.... watching the fuel get injected in at the different rpm levels..

now for that crazy setup im sure he utilized stand alone or some very good rom tuning.

The only reason I asked about the standalone was a friend of mine is running IRTB's on his Miata with a piggy back set-up and he complains of a signal delay and that a standalone system will eliminate the delay. Is this not necessary on the 240 or is my not that intelligent on the subject?

After what I've researched and your guy's help, I think I'm going to stay away. My car is a daily driver and I don't need issues with weather. It gets pretty hot and humid in Florida.

??? meh, im kinda confused. with this setup hes not running a maf or a plentum. without a plentum you need a stand alone right? safc will only work if you use a plentum. you kinda threw me off.

Sorry to throw you off. You need a plenum to run the MAF and stock ecu, no way to work around that. If you just want an ITB setup excluding a plenum then yes that is what you will have to do. Scooter finally moved up to a GT32 turbo set up so he had to use a plenum to run boost manifold pressure
Here is what it looked like. He now uses a haltech instead of a megasquirt standalone.
