i kno ive seen some post up here and other sites. but not really came to a conclusion on whats up with my hud on my 93 dohc. im thinking about switchin it to an analog gauge cluster if i cant fix this. rite now my hud works (in the mourning, cold start ups, at nite) but after driving for awhile it shuts off. the light turns off and speedo doesnt work but everything else on the cluster is working like the tach and such. any ideas please help me out! appriciate it!!

 

yeah i had the same problem theres some circut the burns out im looking for a place that might be able to fix it Nissan wants $300 for the speedo part

 

3 words.....junk yard, lol uhhhhhhh i meant 2. but yea if you dont have a junk yard with a 240 find some guy on the forum with another cluster. HUD owns over analog

 

will HUD be direct swap from a coupe to fastback?

 

it should be. just get the cluster and the hud. you have to cut a hole in your dash tho.

 

The windshield is different. It is not a direct replacement.

 

oh yea i forgot about about that. i think its only the tint tho. it wont show up on the windshield if you dont have the right tint or something.

 

You also need the HUD clusters sub harness, it goes from the cluster to about the middle of the dash.

 

it would be a direct swap...like plug and play if i grab a analog gauge cluster with harness and put it in place of the HUD cluster? also does it matter what year i grab the analog cluster and harness from? my car is a 93. thanks!
