i just swapped my 89 motor out and put a 91 i cant get it to start my freinds and i noticed there no spark. and then i remembered the wires i redid to the harness thats goes to the interior i was not sure if i did them right so i redid them still nothing. if anybody got any ideas lemme know. oh im runin a 89 ecu i can get my hands on a 94 auto altima ecu can i use it lemme know

 

u need to get a 91-93 ecu. and no the altima ecu will not work

also im not sure if i did the wiring correct on the inrterior its brown plug on thw 91 harness and a white on the 89 so i had to cut and splice into a plug i origanaly just followed the same pattern and then i tried matching color but it left me with a couple wires which didnt match up please lemme know to thanx

 

I am getting ready for this swap too.. I h ave read that the upper harness you just color match and that there will be several wires left over. But what they do.. I dont know. I am sure someone will pipe in and fill us both in.

 

you have to have a 91-94 240SX ecu or it will not work for sure. also make sure the cam angle sensor is not upside down. does the starter turn the motor over?

 

yeh the strarter turns it over ill have an ecu as soon as someone sells me one lol

 

i got an ecu still dont start it cranks but dont start still no spark
im using the 89 coil my freind a vdub specialist say i may not be able to use that same coil lemme know

 

got it was the clip that went to the coil pack was no good running strong
