good thoughts Vin..
Here is a question.. I bought a fpr with a nice gauge.. I am interested in getting the porject silvia fuel rail...
Its for top feed I do believe though, stock KA injectors are they top feed? they look like the fuel line goes in the top and the wires go in the sides.. is that top feed?
And with an upgraded fuel pump and I going to totaly douse my engine in excess fuel???

Well the stock fuel rail is a side feed fuel rail.
The project Nissan fuel rail is a top feed fuel rail, you will need to get a specific brand top feed injectors to go with that fuel rail.....
More than likely Denso makes the top feed injectors that are needed for use on the KA........
From what I understand TOP FEED offers less resistance and maximum fuel pressure when compared to a side feed fuel rail....
But on the other hand people have modified the sr20det side feed fuel rail for use on KA for turbo and high rev KA applications.....
If you are looking into top feed fuel rail applications you can also try CA18det fuel injectors......
SR20det injectors are compatible with KA..........

z18et fuel rail is also compatible with KA, but don't expect to see any z18et's in the near future.... This engine has long since been dead since the production of the CA16/18det in JAPAN.
You can also use RC TOP FEED injectors with the top feed fuel rail sold the PROJECT NISSAN.

All KA's and SR's are all side feed injection in stock OEM trim.
If you want the nissan manuals you can down load the manuals for the FJ,CA,VG,KA,SR,naps-z,L. You need the newest version of adobe reader........
www.zeroyon.com
www.datnet.org

Go to the tech tip pages....

Right now I am working on a hot wire CA18det ecu to run on KAdet. The only difference between the CA ecu and the KA ecu is that the CA ecu runs individual coil packs/distributorless.
The wire harnesses fit each other, but the pin outs are different.
Think of the KA possibilities using individual coils from the CA or QR.....

not true. KA24E's use top feed injectors from the factory.

If you ever go through www.craigslist.org or the www.dimequarterly.com and find a 510 you want "that is in CALI" I'll drive it to you. I need a road trip vacation anyway. Infact my friend has one with an Lseries, rebuilt for $2000 and he has a dual weber set up, but has single carb set up on it right now...............
Some guy didn't wan't to buy it off him because the chassis vin wasn't registered with any DMV, but who cares these cars are smog excempt, the chassis came from the factory without registration.
Don't know if he sold it yet but I can have him send me pics if you think you wan't one........
