just because i think that that's what you should do don't take my word for it. without actually inspecting the engine myself the best i can do is guess as to what could wrong. you should defiantly have one or two mechanics look it over to get a more informed opinion.
also when buying any used engine you run the risk of having to go through with this entire ordeal again. i would actually go through with the rebuild instead of an engine swap unless you rebuild that engine to begin with also. i don't care what a seller says you never know what you're really getting when it comes to engine swaps until it's too late.

The block was cracked in like 2 different places supposibly.. I found this guy on my way home last night that is getting a dual cam motor put in on sunday and he has a completly rebuilt KAE in his car runng perfectly with about 25000 miles on it since the rebuild and he was like 400 and its yours soo ima get that motor prolly on monday.. I skipped the whole rebuild process lol...

Well a lil update.. The rebuilt motor im putting in has higher compression pistons (10.5:1)..He is charging me only $600 and thats motor and instalation.. besides the motor im also installing a welded differential ($80 installed)..all the emisions is being pulled out and ima try and do the dual electric fans (possibly)
