Motor Oil Vanished

Is it normal just to have 2 quarts missing everytime i change my oil? I dont have any major leaks.

1996 240sx 5 speed Stock

I use Mobil Synthetic and change my oil every 3,000. but this time i changed it at 5,000. but that shouldnt effect it. unless im worng.

You're either burning oil or leaking some where... ?? You might have an unnoticeable leak (for now) and you should get it checked out.

well i am not burning anything cause i have no smoke from the exhaust whatsoever and also i keep my engine free of gunk and grease and clearly do not see any motor oil leaks around the block. But I did see some oil around the oil pan drain plug area and oil around the oil sensor area by the filter.

Sounds like an oil burn-off.
Perhaps the weight/Viscosity that ur using is too light for the motor?

im using 5w-30 here in San Francisco California area. I'll do a compression check tomorrow since the sun is already going down, but im sure my compression is fine also. The car still runs good

u must be leaking slowly from somewhere, or maybe burning it somewhere unnoticable?

losing 2 quarts of oil, i doubt it could be a slow leak unless im wrong. I dont have an oil puddle where i park everyday.
