MY car bogs no ECU codes..?

New 300 z fuel filter, NGK plugs, 91 octane, no aiv, punched out cat, 2.5 cat back, new distrib cap and rotor...
Car is just slow, bogs, and backfires when shiffting hard revs..
Friends is fast and is same car.
I think injectors or fuel pump?
Hesitates to.
thanks
jeff

i think you should search a little bit deeper then injectors or fuel pump and it might not even be those two things. I read your list of new parts. you got new sparks plugs did you ever think of trying new plug wires.

sounds to me like you have a leak in the air intake system. possibly a hose or a gasket. (intake mainifold)

BTW i'm not a mechanic so i am only guessing.

there are sensors in the intake system that if they are disconnected will cause the car to run like a lown mower. check the maf sensors first.

nope and i just took out the old one so easy but not to put back in. I need a swivle socket.. THen its all good. Car would not even start with out knock sensor.. I herd they can go bad and it mess's with timming wich would make sense. I had 4 codes now only 1 so im almost there. Im going to buy a sr20 so i just want to run right now. Since i put in lsd..lol

had 4 codes in the begining. Got down to 1 code but i didnt know it was throwing a code becuase no check engine light was on. I did a check and it said code 34 wich i thought was maf but its knock. I changed knock and it seems better at first now seems it will not hold a idle and runs like **** again but a little better. I might of hookd up something wrong or not.. Ill double check the ecu and see if its telling be a code because no light is lit..

If you get backfire in between shifting you may have a stretched timing chain, or timing guide tensioners may be locked. That also compenstates for a bogged engine or a jerky engine. If the cam lobe and duration doesnt lift the valves in the proper timing of the compression stroke you will get bogging or jerking.
You may also want to check your distributor cap it could be fried, or your coil is about to fry.
I also noticed that you are running the car on 91 octane, you need to be on 89octane......After all 89 is recomended for the best performance of your engine, unless you have advanced your timing.
Also "no AIV" common that is probably your engines worst problem. You can disconnect the AIV tube from the induction box, but the sensor still needs to be connected to the ECU.

intake manifold gasket. it's really common on altimas for it do almost disentegrate (sp?) and we have the same engine so that's my best guess.

Thanks Big V. I put in a whalbro 255 fuel pump and it fixed most of the jerking i would say 95%. I noticed that the filter was black. I still have the back fire, ill check the timming, wich is what i thought it was.. What do you mean the aiv has to be plugged in the ecu? I have one wire hanging, the one people say to put a 4 or what ever ohme in it....?
thanks..
