Oil pan bolts(2) Broken- GAH!

Doing a timing chain replacement on a ka24e,
Putting the oil pan back on when (snap) ,
thought I had the wrong torqe specs, turned
out my torque wrench is now just a glorified
60$ braker bar.

So-

I have two broken bolts on either side in the
front corners. Broke off pretty deep. Anyone
know if it would be worth it to try and drop
the pan agian and dig those bastards out?

Anyone know if/how much it will leak if I
don't/can't remove them?

Many thanks.

Both bolts are recessed. (engine is removed from car- long story) Possible the fragments are mated to both the oil pan AND the block, in wich case I don't want to mess with it, as I think it should provide a tight enough seal.

To pull the fragments I would have to drop the pan, in wich case if the fragments do attach to both the block and the pan, I'm in for a whole lotta fun *gunshot*

If I can get the pan off, I should be able to pull whats left of the bolts without too much trouble (have replacement bolts handy)... I just don't want to waste a couple of days trying to pry the pan off-if it's a tight enough seal not to matter...

Then agian, I might as well do it sence the engine is free of the car...

Tough call. Would help to know if it's going to spray oil 15 feet on just two broken bolts.

you wont spray oil but it will prob seep. since the engine is out do yourself a favor and just take care of it now..... tip if you can get pliers on the broken piece remove them that way... if they are recessed in the aluminum piece either weld a tab on the bolt so that you can grab the weld with the pliers, or tkae it to a machine shop to be removed.... if you try to drill it and dont get it center, then your drill could and prob will, walk off the bolt and make a nice size hole in the aluminum.
