Angry Over Heating Problems!!

I replaced my radiator hoses , new thermostat, and new radiator.
Now my temperature guage is on high , What could be causing this to happen? Everything worked fine before i changed everything. I would appreciate it if any one has any ideas that could be causing this.

if it all worked fine why go messing with things??? bleed the coolant system of air and see if that helps with the problem... there is a faq on overheating problems... give that a look...

if you have air in the system, simply remove the radiator cap and start the car, you'll see it start to bubble

Yes, you replace this, that, and added new coolant! But did u forget to bleed it? If you haven’t bled it, it’s right on your intake manifold. Easiest thing to do...

Keep your car cool & grab a simple 8mm socket (I believe..?)

1. Locate the bolt and it’s at the thermostat at front of the manifold.

2. Unbolt it all the way out.

3. Pour water into the radiator & when you see water/coolant leakage out of the 8mm bolt hole, Bolt it back into place while still pouring.

4. Now all you do is tightening the bolt back up and that should be it!

Now this is what I do… but this is on you.

Engine on and set my RPMS at 3000 for a good time. If the results are overheating again, repeat the process; be sure not to let air get trapped where you bled your cooling system. If the results look good, give it a little test drive and you are set to go!
