Polishing is a fools tail it doesn't do jack.
Now if you were to knife edge the crank and drop some actual weight from it you could get more high rev, and less oil splashing and frothing from occuring in the bottom end of the engine.
Polishing a head is a different story, it can actually increase the flame front and increase intake and exhaust flow, adding a couple donkey's to the power band.....

i fail to see how polishing a crank would do any good.

put it this way, if you watch any infomercial about any oil/additive they all claim that there is a bond between the metal and oil/additive. while i'm not about to defend the many claims, there is some truth to this "bond".

so to claim that a polished crank would rev beter, i don't see why if there is oil lubricating the surfaces.

polishing the head to prevent carbon build up is another story. polishing a tb just makes it look nice imo.

so as i implied when i first started this thread, shiny objects in no way make you faster. they sure do look nice when the sun shines on them though.
