quality timing chain kit

I am getting ready to do my timing chain on a S14 and have been looking on line at kits and shops that i can put together a complet kit but i have heard and seen the pics on here of bad chain guides breaking and falling down in the oil pan and was hopping that someone might know which autoparts makers guides were good and others that might be made out of plastic and that i should avoid buying

and then any online places that you had dealings with and were pleased with their servies in the timing chain area

thanks

You don't need the timing chain guides. It's recommended to just take them off and forget about it. There is no danger as long as your tensioner is in good shape.

If you want a timing chain kit (New chains and all) I have one I'll sell you for $25. It came with my car and I don't need it. And yes, no timing chain guides is sexy because you don't get tick tick tick tick tick tick any more. You get...puuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrr from the engine.
