hey guys nubie here frm texas, well a friend frm around here is giving me a ka block frm an s14 bt i own an s13, my question is are the blocks the same frm 91-94 to 95-98 as in bore n stroke? if they are id really like to use it to build a ka frm the ground up! thanks!

They are all relatively the same... however the compression ratio on them are slightly different.

Check out the NA motor thread for much useful info. Big Vinnie the NA guru pokes his head in from time to time.

 

the blocks are identical as far as i have seen.. the difference is the head, cams, intake mani, and valve cover... head had different bolt pattern for the valve cover, cams on the s13 are more aggressive than the s14, s13 intake mani has the butterfly valves s14 doesn't... but the block is the same... hope this helps

biggest difference is the emissions from Obd1 to Obd2 you see most of the changes in the head and intake manifold.

 

yeah c i was plannig on just getting an s13 head n build it that way!

98 KA ( I have owned every KA )
95 stripped intake manifold ( secondary butterflies already removed by factory )
93 obd1 electronics

how has that set up worked for you?, do you have upgraded internals?
