stalling wont rev past 2500

ok i just put in a aluminum intake and filter the car idles fine but as soon as i give alittle gas the idle drops and then jumps back up and when i florr it it wont rev past 2500 also every so often itll slowly idle down and stall it ran fine b4 and also there is like 3 vacum hoses off but they have been off the whole time i was thinking maybe i dont have the hose claps on the throttle body on right but i cant c in the dark so im not sure

also my car is a 90 se and i was also wondering what is the black square box with a tube the connacts to the filter box what is the role of it it seems to b blowing warm air

ok when i unpluged the maf and started it the same thing would this mean the MAF is bad or not also i pluged up the vacum line

also did some searching about this and 4 some ppl the problem was the CTS would that cause a problem like that

ok i know what it is a broken wire in the connactor im gonna hit the junkyard 2marrow and cut 1 off
