starting issue. need help asap!!

Here's the problem, when i try to start my motor, it starts and revvs to 1k then dies down until it cuts off. Then when i try to start it again, it just turns over and sounds like it wants to start but it doesn't. The only way i get it to start is by pressing on the gas a little while turning the key and revv it up at 1.5k for about 5 seconds and it will stay running but then it'll idle at 1100rpm. It's been doing this for like 3 days. A buddy of mine said it might be the egr. I dunno. Please help. Thanks.

post more info about your car? what engine, auto or manual, things youve replaced, etc.

Ka24de, M/T, Intake, exhaust, plat +2 plugs, Mobil 1 10w-30, 44k fuel system cleaner from nissan dealer, flex-a-lite 220 fans, battery in trunk, short shifter, and my throw out bearing is going bad. Besides that, it's stock.

have you had a tune up lately? distributor cap, spark plug and wires can cause this problem. is your battery new? also try cleaning your maf sensor.

Okaym found the problem, the inside of my muffler was falling apart and the wool was restricting passage. So I guess the wool was causing too much back pressure and blocked it all up. Thanks though for giving help.
