electrical issue, stater issue, alt issue....dont know HELP

my buddy gave me his 95 240 sx. ( literally gave it to me for free) im happy about it i got a new project. but i cant figure out why or what is draining my battery. If i leave the negative cable off the post and i put it back on the next day it'll start up right away. but if i leave it on the battery needs to be jumped or charged. i charged the battery and got it tested and its fine. I thought it could be the negative cable (nope, got a new one). The alternator is new. could it be my starter?? if anyone can help me or give me some ideas on what to look for, I would appreciate it.

Hook up an amp meter, turn on everything, but do not start the car. Start pulling fuses.

A few things it could be. Trunk light or glove box light is on. This is kinda hard to miss, but it happens OFTEN...especially 240's. The brake lights could be on. If the little plastic piece on the brake peddle isn't there. The brake lights will not turn off. It will obviously kill the battery very quickly.

A battery is a battery. Even if the CCA's were to low, that still would cause it to go dead overnight.
Only if the battery was bad, would a new one fix the problem. What are the differences between the old one & new one?
