stock intake

stock intake

do you think it would make anymore of a difference other then noise if i took the y pipe off the end of my stock intake right before the stock air box?

I took it off, the only real difference is you can hear it suck in air a little more

yea i ended up taking it off also and thats about all i noticed. sounds like one of those short intakes and i noticed it runs alo stronger then it did before when the air is cold outside thats about it

I went one step further and cut out the whole bottom half of the air filter housing. It may seem a little drastic but didn't make much sense to me to have a big filter and a little hole to let in air.

The top pic on this page shows the air box on my car.

It's a little louder but I did notice a pretty good power increase at high speed/rpm....

Anyways, that's my 2 cents....
