sumthing wrong with my car

ok i have this problem. when i drive hard or get on the gas around 4000 rpms sumtimes my car likes to like bog down making this weird noise out the exhaust. i know its not clog or ne thing like that becuz im running a punch out cat and just a cherry bomb type thing. it also does it more so around a corner or when trying to do a donut, then it also likes to die out. then the only way to start it again is to take the key out then put it back in and start it. so therefore leaves me to think its electrical. it also occurs sumtimes when i start my car when sitting there for awhile but then i get moving and it stops. so i have no clue whats wrong ne advice would be great

check your plugs and O2 sensor, it goes bad when running it harder and idling for a long time, both of which can be caused by those. Check all your MAF's and everything basic like that. Reset your ecu, check for ECU codes, and post us with results and we'll go from there!

To reset your ecu, the easy way is just to unplug your car for several hours so the memory in the ecu goes away.

With regards to checking for codes I couldn't walk you through, a manual or searching will help more than I.

You can learn to read the codes by reading the info here.

or you can take it to a shop so that they can scan codes for you for $35 bucks...

you cant really tell whats wrong if just the "check engine" light is on

you can do it yourself too...but that would involve an ECU scanner which costs just waay too much...and then you would need the cartridge which again doesnt cost as much as the scanner...but still waay too much.

the scanner and cartridges to for ford, chevy, toyota, honda, and nissan will run about 8000$

thats an sr20 with loads of goodies...
