The nightmare is complete. My nightmare 240sx is complete. I would like to thank everyone for there help and advice with this project.

 

You can thank us by finishing the damn thread and explaining what the problem was and how you fixed it. Thats what this forum is for, to help other people with problems by posting threads and a conclusion to the thread for future references. I cant tell you how many times i'v search for something and only find "I fixed it thanks" alot of help that is. sorry I'm not picking on you I'm just trying to make a point, so dont take it personal, K.

 

I found that the problem was a leak in the throttle body. Along with that I needed to replace the cap and rotor, and reposition the disty. For anyone else with this problem check these things first. It will save you some time and money. ? I still have a sputter when I push the pedal thru the floor. will a fuel cleaner clear this problem up for me? There is still old gas in the tank that needs to be burned out. could this be part of the problem?

 

If you have old fuel in the tank I would add some fuel stabalizer and change the fuel filter. That should clear up the spuddering unless you have a vacuum leak.
