will this header/high flow cat setup work?

I have a 90 SOHC s13 that I am contemplating on putting a header and a high flow cat on it.

It looks just like the OBX stuff. I wanted to get that and this high flow cat high flow cat from ebay obx header

Does anyone have experience with it? How is the fitment? for $250 bucks will it come with everything i need to install it? I have an SS Autochrome catback exhaust already. Does anyone know how much lighter it is than stock?

Thanks,
SId

Dont cheap out on car stuff. OBX stuff sucks. My friend ran one on his S13 and it cracked after 2 months. Weak. Get a real header, like a Hotshot or a DCSports. You get what you pay for.

I got a DC sports. Get it from XAT racing, their prices are good. Ill tell you how i like the header in a few days. We get to fire her up for the first time since the heart transplant today

so what about pace setter? their stuff is mild steel which would be less likely to crack. Do all of these headers meet up to the cat back exhaust or do you still have to get the high flow cats? I wonder would you notice more improvement from the header or from the high flow cat.

thanks,
sid

We hooked up my DC today... and though the motor isnt running right, it sounds beastly. Super simple to install, no fitment issues, and bolts right up to factory cat location, or resonator if you replaced it with one like i did. Pacesetter is a 4-1 header, whereas DC is a 4-2-1 design. The KA would rather have a 4-2-1

so how much did the header and the resonator cost you? How much louder? My car is already loud enough as it is. I use my s13 as my track car so i can tolerate a little more noise in return for the weight savings of having not cats and lighter cast. The extra power would be nice in the straights too.

Thanks,
Sid

Resonator - Like 3 bucks,
DC header -$365? i think thats what it was. not a bad price IMO

Its not much LOUDER than just a catback, but the tone changed a bunch and it rumbles more.. smoothly.

I have teh DC sports too. It did get louder, but it sounds a lot better. The pulses are very organized. you can hear the organization in sound. Also the 4-2-1 design is best for KA and for ground clearance. I lvoe mine. I got mine for 298 btw ;D
