true, but i know of guys that have had some run ins with the cops because the cars fit the description. so if your car looks modified and you get stopped because your brake light supposedly is not working, one things leads to another and you're facing a fine or your car is impounded.

it may sound like a stretch, but it's happened.

but yeah unless you're doing something stupid you're more than likely not in any danger of loosing your car.

Of course you have to be caught racing. The article also said that your serial numbers had to have been tampered with. I'm assuming that means buying a JDM engine, where the numbers don't match the chassis.

He's right. Law enforcement will find you guilty of something or other if they want to badly enough.

You know . . .reading those, reminds me a lot of how I thought when I used to do silliness in the streets. Yes the police can get you for illegal modifications, but the worst they can give you, unless your registration is expired, is a few fix it tickets.

so my first question is.

If you know they'll get you for illegal modifications, why would you modify your daily driver, or a car that you're going to drive on the street in such a manner that it brings that negative attention to yourself? I, fortunately, don't live in California, but if I did, you better believe that the car that touches public roads wouldn't have so much as a decal on it.

On top of the fix it tickets for those modifications, the police usually only bother you if you're driving in a manner that comes across as aggressive, you know, running in your lower gears for a long time (to keep the revs up), reving your engine before you leave a redlight, revving your engine as you go over speed bumps or into parking lots (you know, if you know how to drive a manual PROPERLY, you NEVER have to rev the engine to do anything).

So my second question is:

What are you doing that bought this attention to you? If you KNOW you have these modifications, you should be on your P's and Q's all of the time.

With all of that said, it's VERY FAIR for me to say that all street racers should have their cars crushed. If you are CAUGHT street racing, street drifting, mountain racing, your car should be impounded and/or destroyed. I have no sympathy for you AT ALL!

STIG WHY ARE YOU SO MEAN?

WHY? Because there are SO many venues available now, when I first got my driver's license, autocross, club racing, drift events, rally races, just weren't something that people knew about and/or were able to participate in regularly. Events are THRIVING now because of the internet and word of mouth, if you "Can't find a legal way to do it in your area" then it's YOUR fault, that DOESN'T give you the right to endanger others and endanger yourself!!!

Just like everyone else, your life means something to someone, if you want to be like that stupid (wow I almost started calling people by racial names) but you know what I mean, if you want to be like that, by all means, I hope they crush all of your cars, arrest you and liquidate your assets. That's whats going to wind up happening to that .. . . idiot!!!

I don't know, Stig's going to sit down in his car and pretend to heel-and-toe downshift while making "VROOM" noises.

can i get some credit for saying what you did without writing a book on it

Biggamehit wrote: honestly man...... in cali there are many venues to race man vs the east coast.. i dont wanna be like a spoiler but its the truth man.
dude seriously it depends where the hell your at man. who gives **** what you do to your daily man seriously your mind is scrambled with your scca ****...

im being real if your car looks anything like "race" car you fit the description.. so don't get a bike don't do anything that you enjoy

i guess we can say.. all guys with lifted trucks and mud tires and a dirty truck should be pulled over because they just went mudding in someones backyard or private property right....

lets not think so hard

and for the record all of my orders were me from a stop no speeding in ****.
